Khunti, June 26 (HS). Rania police station on Wednesday organized a program in Khatga Panchayat Bhawan of Rania block and made the villagers aware about the evils of drug abuse. Addressing the program, Rania police station in-charge Vikas Jaiswal said that drug abuse has a very bad effect on the family as well as the society. He said that drug abuse not only ruins the family but also leads to the death of a person. Despite knowing this, people are getting addicted to it.
Jaiswal said that for a healthy family and society we must give up intoxication. He appealed to the people not to cultivate opium under any circumstances, it is the biggest reason for ruining the society. While discussing superstitions like witchcraft, the station in-charge said that it is nothing but superstition. He said that a woman is the embodiment of compassion, how can she take someone's life. He said that there is a provision for severe punishment for harassing someone by calling them a witch. Along with it, he appealed to the people to use helmet while driving two-wheelers and follow traffic rules.
