Due to the rise in the stock markets, Sensex-Nifty reached historical highs for the second consecutive day

Stock Market Today: The upward trend continues in the Indian stock market on the second day of the week. Sensex and Nifty reached historical highs for the second consecutive day. Investors' capital has increased by Rs. 1.40 lakh crore. Sensex moved towards 78500, Nifty crossed the level of 23800.

The Sensex was trading 456.12 points higher at 78509.64 at 1.15 am after rising 535.24 points to hit an all-time high of 784588.76. The Nifty was trading 105.90 points up at 23827.20 after hitting a record high of 238593.50. The BSE market cap was at an all-time high of Rs 437.29 lakh crore.

Out of the total 3842 shares traded on BSE today, 2075 shares are trading in favor of improvement and 1611 in favor of decline. By 11.48 pm, 248 shares had touched the highest level of 52 weeks. While 20 shares have reached the yearly low level. Upper circuit was seen in 255 shares and lower circuit was seen in 169 shares. Sensex pack UltraTech Cement is trading up by 3.14 percent, Reliance 1.79 percent, IndusInd Bank 1.42 percent, Hindustan Unilever 1.18 percent.

Profit booking in metal-auto, realty stocks

Profit booking has increased in metal, auto, realty, healthcare segments after making new record highs for the last few days. Bajaj Auto is trading down 1.81 per cent, TVS Motors down 1.39 per cent, Eicher Motors down 1.03 per cent. Top losers in the metal index were Vedanta down 2.73 per cent, NMDC down 2.64 per cent, Tata Steel down 1.68 per cent and Hindalco down 1.64 per cent.
