Chandigarh, June 25 (HS). In the meeting of the 'High Powered Works Purchase Committee' chaired by Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh, works worth about Rs 825 crore were approved. In this, Rs 111 crore has been sanctioned to the Electricity Department and Rs 32 crore has been sanctioned for building an additional 100-bed hospital in Kurukshetra.
In the meeting, final approval was given to the tender for construction of 96 houses for police personnel in Ambala at a cost of approximately Rs 19 crore. Apart from this, construction work of Rs 9.47 crore at the Regional Research Station of Maharana Pratap Horticulture University in village Kharkadi of Bhiwani district and Rs 358 crore at the same university in Karnal was approved.
Works worth Rs 111 crore for replacing current conductor with higher capacity in the Electricity Department, Rs 19.32 crore for laying sewerage pipeline in village Dhauj of Faridabad district, Rs 28.60 crore for upgrading water supply capacity in village Dhand of Kaithal district, Rs 23 crore for construction of 2-lane ROB on Sadalpur railway line in Rewari district, Rs 15.80 crore for 4-laning of Panipat-Dahar road in Panipat district and Rs 41.50 crore for recharging Krishnawati river from Narnaul Branch were approved.
In this meeting, approval was given for Rs 14.30 crore for construction of Government Women College in village Ladna Chakku of Kaithal district, Rs 13.60 crore for construction of new building of Government College in Rajound and Rs 17 crore for construction of Government Women College in village Data of Hisar district. Rs 32 crore for construction of an additional 100-bed hospital in the campus of LNJP Hospital in Kurukshetra, Rs 12.15 crore for strengthening of Palwal Hasanpur Road, Rs 21.11 crore for widening and strengthening of Jakhal-Dharsool-Bhuna-Pabra-Sarasaud Road in Fatehabad district, Rs 16.40 crore for improvement of Saharanpur-Kurukshetra Road and other works in Kurukshetra district, Rs 16.60 crore for special repair of Assandh-Rajound-Kaithal-Patiala Road, Rs 12.50 crore for strengthening of Tosham-Bahal-Sudhiwas Road, Rs 13.75 crore for special repair of Hansi-Umra-Sultanpur-Kanwari Road and Rs 23.62 crore for construction of Yamunanagar-Khajuri-Jathlana Road were approved.
Apart from Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Kanwar Pal, Industry and Commerce Minister Moolchand Sharma, Power Minister Ranjit Singh, Development and Panchayat Minister Mahipal Dhanda, other senior officials were also present in the meeting.
