Ranchi, June 25 (HS). A delegation led by Central President of Jharkhand State Contract Employees Federation, Vikrant Jyoti, met Assembly Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahato and MLA Deepika Pandey on Tuesday.
The delegation expressed anger towards the government for not fulfilling the various demands of the contract workers of Jharkhand till now. Vikrant Jyoti clearly said that we are against this attitude of the government and will look for an alternative. Contract workers, students, unemployed youth, all were treated unfairly in the Mahagathbandhan government. The appointment system became controversial and fell prey to the corrupt.
Vikrant Jyoti said that former Chief Minister Hemant Soren had talked about removing the word contract while giving equal pay for equal work to all contract workers, but he could not remove the word contract during his entire tenure. Many innocent contract workers, including Poshan Sakhi and 15th Finance workers, were removed. The demands of MNREGA workers, child protection workers, Anganwadi workers and assistant teachers were not met. Due to this, everyone is preparing to protest. The high-level committee formed under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner did not do any work in five years, this is a fraud.
