ICICI Bank launches a new service for crores of customers


ICICI Bank today announced that it has launched a new security feature 'SmartLock' through which its customers can instantly lock/unlock any banking service without the help of a customer service officer through phone or email. This feature is available on iMobile Pay.

Crores of customers activated the new service – allowing customers to lock/unlock their Internet Banking, UPI (including payments from other UPI apps linked to bank accounts), Credit and Debit cards with just a click of a button, putting the security of their accounts in their own hands.

A first of its kind in the Indian banking sector, ‘SmartLock’ also allows customers to lock/unlock the entire iMobile Pay.

Customers can use this facility in case of potential fraudulent transactions in their accounts and cards. One can also use it even if one is not using the service.

Login to iMobile Pay – Click on Smartlock Service at the bottom of the home screen. Click on the banking services you want to lock/unlock. Click on it.

To start using it, customers of any bank can link their bank account to the app, create a UPI ID and start transacting.
