Kunbi organizations opposed the demand of Maratha leader Manoj Jarange

Mumbai, June 24 (HS). All Branches of Kunbi Association on Monday strongly opposed the demand of Maratha leader Manoj Jarange for Kunbi caste certificate. Kunbi organizations have demanded from the state government that the government should not issue Kunbi caste certificate to all the people of Maratha community on the basis of Manoj Jarange's demand.

According to the information, a meeting of All Branches of Kunbi Action Committee and All Branch Kunbi Association was held in Dhantoli, Nagpur on Monday. Association President Purushottam Shahane Patil, office bearer Suresh Gudhe Patil were present in this meeting. In this meeting, the Maratha community unanimously said that we are not against giving reservation to the Maratha community. But Kunbi caste certificate should not be given to them in one go. Demanding Kunbi certificate is wrong. In the meeting, the members said that by making such a demand, Jarange is trying to create discord between both the Maratha and OBC communities. In the meeting, it has been decided to give a memorandum of various demands to the Rodi Collector on June 27, highlighting the role of the Kunbi community.

Janrao Kedar, Rajesh Kakde, Pandurang Wakde, Baban Ganjre, Suresh Varana, Prahlad Padole, Suresh Konge, Bala Shingane, Rambhau Kavadkar, Naresh Shelke, Ashok Pandav, Bhaskar Pandey, Arun Varhade, Vivek Deshmukh and others were present in the meeting.
