Gopeshwar, June 24 (HS). Chamoli District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana reviewed the cases pending at various levels while holding a meeting with the officials of Rail Vikas Nigam, BRO, Pitkul and NHIDCL on Monday. He instructed to coordinate with the tehsils and resolve the problems quickly and ensure that the remaining work of the projects is completed soon. No case should remain pending unnecessarily at any level.
The District Magistrate directed the Rail Vikas Nigam to get plantation work done soon in the non-forest land proposed for railway station expansion with the help of the Forest Department. The District Magistrate was directed to get the proposal for land acquisition in Marwari of Joshimath by BRO, Joshimath-Malari motor expansion under Bharat Mala Project uploaded on the Bhoomi Rashi portal and to get the Public Works and Revenue Department to conduct a joint inspection of the land and buildings affected by land acquisition in package-2 of Joshimath-Malari motor road soon. NHIDCL was directed to coordinate with the tehsil and start the process of land acquisition soon for 20 landslide areas, 11 sinking areas between Kameda and Helang and two bridge construction works. The District Magistrate said that the works of the project should be completed fast by quickly resolving the pending cases.
Additional District Magistrate Vivek Prakash, BRO's Major Pratik Kale, Major Aditya, Rail Vikas Nigam in-charge officer MS Bisht, DGM NHIDCL Sushil Verma etc were present in the meeting.
