Why did MPs reach Parliament with a copy of the Constitution? This is the reason

The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha has started with great enthusiasm today i.e. 24th June. Even before the session started, the MPs of India Alliance came out to protest with copies of the Constitution in their hands. The opposition MPs also created a ruckus against Prime Minister Modi.

Regarding this protest, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that what Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are doing to the Constitution is not acceptable to us. We will not let what they want happen, that is why today while taking oath, we took a copy of the Constitution in our hands.

'No power can touch the Constitution of India'

Rahul Gandhi did not stop here. He further said that no power can touch the Constitution of India. We will not let it be changed. All Congress MPs except Rahul Gandhi opposed the BJP government.

Mallikarjun Kharge also attacked PM Modi

Regarding the protest, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge said, “Narendra Modi Ji tried to break the Constitution, so today the leaders of all the parties are united and protesting. Where Gandhi Ji's statue was, it was removed. Baba Ambedkar's statue was also removed.” They are breaking all the democratic norms, so today we want to show that Modi Ji, you should move forward according to the Constitution.

TMC MPs surrounded the BJP government on the issue of Protem Speaker

At the same time, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee also surrounded the BJP government on the issue of Protem Speaker. He said, “We are protesting because the provisions of the Constitution have been violated. The way the Protem Speaker has been appointed is a clear violation of constitutional provisions and also a clear violation of precedents.”
