Uproar over claim of 40 Pakistani terrorists infiltrating Jammu before Amarnath Yatra

Jammu and Kashmir: Preparations have begun for one-sided assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Supreme Court had ordered to conduct assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir before 30 September. At the same time, the traditional Amarnath Yatra is starting in Jammu from 29 June. At such a time, the news of 30 to 40 foreign terrorists infiltrating Jammu has put the security forces in a state of shock.

On the other hand, Chinese telecom equipment used by the Pakistan Army is believed to have posed new security threats from militants in the border Union Territory.

Conspiracy to revive terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir

There are reports that 30 to 40 foreign terrorists have infiltrated Sarojri, Poonch and Kahua sectors at a time when the system is busy preparing for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and the traditional Amarnath Yatra held every year. The terrorists, mainly of Pakistani origin, are reportedly trying to spread terrorism in Jammu once again.

The terrorists formed 2-3 groups with the help of local guides and support network

Sources in the security forces said that these terrorists of Pakistani origin are working in small teams with the help of local guides and support network. These terrorists have formed 2-3 groups and are well connected with local sleeper cells.

To counter these terrorists, the Army and other security agencies have intensified their intelligence operations and strengthened the counter-terrorism grid to effectively prevent infiltration attempts.

Sources say that the security forces are particularly focusing on monitoring the international border and strengthening the anti-terrorism grid. Its aim is also to intensify the local network that helps the terrorists.

There is a need to increase strategic operations in Jammu

The dense forests in Jammu require increased intelligence gathering and tactical operations. Sources said the Army has already deployed more troops in the area with over 200 armoured personnel carriers procured under the emergency procedure.

Indian Army seizes ultra-modern equipment made in China

Meanwhile, in a clash with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army has seized ultra-modern equipment made in China. Officials said that ultra-modern Chinese telecom equipment has been recovered from the terrorists. These equipment are used by the Pakistani Army, which have reached the hands of terrorists. Officials say that this is a matter of concern.

Training, arms and ammunition were provided by the army in Pakistan

Sophisticated mobile handsets have been seized from terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir, indicating that terror groups have been provided training, weapons and ammunition by the army in Pakistan, officials said.

Such special handsets are manufactured by Chinese companies for the Pakistani army. However, these devices were seized after the firing in Surankot in Poonch district of Jammu on July 17-18 last year.

On 26 April this year, after an encounter in Baramulla district of North Kashmir, Chinese equipment was recovered from terrorists. When four Pakistani terrorists were killed in Surankot, a Chinese telecom equipment Ultra Set handset was recovered.

It combines the capabilities of a specific type of cell-phone with specialized radio equipment, without relying on mobile technology such as the Global System for Mobile.
