Jammu, June 23 (HS). Senior Citizen Rejuvenation Centre, SCRC Trikuta Nagar Jammu celebrated its Foundation Day and Yoga Day cum Gaurav Award Ceremony. On this occasion, President Chamber of Commerce Jammu Arun Gupta was present as Chief Guest while BJP District President Jammu South Rekha Mahajan was present as Special Guest. Center President Baldev Raj Gupta, Patron Krishan Lal Gupta, General Secretary Tara Chand, Cashier Vinod Gupta and Stage Secretary M.L. Vaid along with other senior members were present.
SCRC members informed the guests and the people present about the activities being carried out by the centre. They informed that at least 20-30 members gather at the centre every day for entertainment, social service and spiritual awakening through chanting of Gayatri Mantra, chanting of Om and recitation of Bhagavad Gita. Yoga sessions are also organised from time to time. In the programme, dignitaries performed lamp lighting, cultural presentations of bhajans, Vandana and songs by senior members. In the same programme, meritorious students were honoured by giving them trophies. While breakfast was also arranged.
