Review of implementation of pre and post-matric scholarship schemes in Udhampur

Udhampur, 24 February (Hindustan Reporter). Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Joginder Singh Jasrotia chaired a meeting at Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex Udhampur to assess the status of pre and post-matric scholarship schemes in the district.

The meeting saw the presence of District Social Welfare Officer, Kanika Gupta, Chief Education Officer, Geetu Bangotra, all regional education officers and heads of government and private educational institutions of the district.

The ADC stressed on 100 per cent coverage of all eligible students, directing heads of educational institutions to ensure that no eligible student is deprived of scholarship benefits.

He urged the CEO to streamline the processes including Aadhaar enrolment, issuance of income certificate and bank account opening for quick disbursement of scholarship funds through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The ADC stressed the need for effective and focused implementation of scholarship schemes to achieve their intended objectives.
