Hisar, June 22 (HS). There is tremendous enthusiasm for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology. In this session, applications are being received at a record level for the courses of the university. By Friday afternoon, the university has received 3100 applications for admission in undergraduate programs and 1650 applications for admission in postgraduate programs. The last date for applying is June 26. The university hopes that it will receive almost the same number of applications in the next four days. This information was given by Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsiram Bishnoi in a press conference on Saturday.
He said that there is a huge trend of applicants towards new courses. All the new courses started by the university are in line with the current demand of the industry and market and are employment oriented. The special thing is that all the courses of the university are being conducted under the National Education Policy-2020. The university has also implemented the National Education Policy-2020 in the affiliated colleges of the university.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsiram Bishnoi said that a total of 89 programmes are being run in the university. There are 48 undergraduate programmes, out of which admission is being done by the university in 34 programmes. So far 3100 applications have been received for admission to 1500 seats in these courses. Similarly, 1600 applications have been received so far for admission to 1300 seats in 41 postgraduate programmes in the university.
