The investigation into the NEET UG paper leak case is progressing rapidly. Nayyar Hasnain Khan, ADG of Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) in Patna, has given a detailed report to the Ministry of Education and NTA on the basis of the investigation so far. This report of the EOU contains clarification regarding the status investigation report. First of all, it is said in the report that the NEET exam paper has been leaked.
Forensic investigation of burnt paper also
The report also states that forensic investigation of the burnt question paper is also being conducted. The remains of the burnt question paper and the list of 68 questions found in it have also been attached to the EOU report.
Key highlights of the EOU report:
- A car with Jharkhand number JH01BW 0019 was caught after receiving a call from Jharkhand. Sikandar, Akhilesh and Bittu were travelling in the car. Admit cards of many students were recovered from it. Interrogation of them revealed the other members of the gang, the students and their examination centres. Three of its hideouts were found, where burnt question papers and evidence of financial transactions were found.
- Copies of the statements of 13 people arrested so far have been attached as evidence of the paper leak.
- A detailed report of financial transactions has been written in the paper leak case. In which cheques, passbooks, ATM cards and deposit withdrawal reports called from some banks are also being sent as attachments.
- Apart from the copies of the statements of the four students arrested in the paper leak case, Ayush Raj, Anurag Yadav, Shivnandan and Abhishek, detailed information about their roll numbers, booklets, examination centers etc. is being prepared separately. Complete information about where and from which coaching institute all these students have studied so far is also recorded.
- A detailed report has been prepared on the history of the solver gang with the statements of Sikandar, Amit Anand, Nitish and others arrested so far.
- Sanjeev Mukhiya, Chintu, Pintu, Rocky alias Rakesh and others of the fugitive solver gang have also been mentioned separately in the NEET paper leak case.
- It is said that the whole story of paper leak started from a centre in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand and spread to Patna and reached the students.
- The entire conspiracy was hatched in a government office in Danapur, Patna and the students were kept in a safe house in Patna itself. Where all the candidates were questioned.
- The documents and evidence presented by the Deputy Chief Minister after the revelations in this entire case have been mentioned in the report of the Economic Offenses Unit. This guest house was used by Sikandar along with his mother Reena to accommodate his relative candidate Anurag Yadav. Finally, the Economic Offenses Unit cited the action still being taken by its SIT.
