Suraj Revanna: Police in Karnataka's Hassan district have filed an FIR against two people for blackmailing Prajwal's brother and JDS MLC Sooraj Revanna. According to the FIR, Sooraj (36) and his close relative, Shivkumar, filed a complaint against Chetan and one of his relatives. The complaint said that these people were blackmailing Sooraj and demanding Rs 5 crore to implicate him in false allegations.

It is being told that Chetan, the accused in this case, first befriended Shivkumar. After this, he asked for help for a job citing financial difficulties. Meanwhile, Shivkumar agreed to arrange a meeting of Chetan with Suraj Revanna during the Lok Sabha elections.
5 crore ransom
Meanwhile, on June 17, Chetan told Sivakumar that he had gone to Sooraj Revanna's farmhouse a day earlier to ask for a job but Sooraj refused to help. Chetan then allegedly threatened to defame Sooraj and his family.
It is alleged that Chetan said that if he did not get Rs 5 crore, he would file a police complaint against Sooraj for sexual harassment. After this, Chetan continued to blackmail Shivkumar. Later, he reduced the blackmail amount to three crores and then to two and a half crores. Chetan's relatives were also involved in this blackmailing. He was sending messages to Shivkumar from Chetan's phone.
Chetan called Shivkumar again on June 19 and threatened to defame Sooraj and his family if he did not get the money. Two days later, Shivkumar and Sooraj decided to file a police complaint against the accused. A case has been registered under sections 384 and 506 of the IPC.
What is the allegation against brother Prajwal?
The first case registered against Prajwal is related to the sexual abuse of a 47-year-old former maid. In this, he has been made an assistant accused i.e. accused number 2 instead of the main accused. It was registered on April 28 in Holenarasipura, Hassan. Prajwal's father HD Revanna is the main accused in this. He is currently on bail.

The CID has registered another case. The case came to light on May 1. In this, a 44-year-old woman has accused Prajwal of raping her several times. This allegation has been made by none other than a female worker of JDS.
A 60-year-old woman has also filed a case
The third case is also of rape, which has been registered by the SIT. The age of the victim is around 60 years. All three cases have been registered under section 376 of the IPC. Apart from this, a case has also been registered under 354 B, 354 C, 506.
