Nawada, 22 June (HS). Warisaliganj police of Nawada district has arrested five cyber criminals on Saturday. Five Android mobile phones, one keypad, 50 custom data have been recovered from the criminals.
SP Ambrish Rahul said on Saturday that on June 21, some cyber criminals had gathered in Kochgaon of Warisaliganj police station. They are duping innocent citizens. When the police raided the village, cyber criminals were found gathered in the garden to the west of the village. On seeing the police, 12-13 criminals started running away, out of which 5 were arrested by the police force.
The arrested accused have said in their confession statement that these accused were cheating people by creating fake IDs in the name of Dhani Finance. When a customer got trapped, they were asked for their Aadhaar card etc. They used to send WhatsApp messages for these documents. After that they used to cheat in the name of NOC.
In this case, Uttam Kumar of Palbalpur in Nalanda district, Sajan Kumar of Lalpur village of Warisaliganj police station, Laxman Singh of Katauna village of Nalanda district, Munna Kumar of Kandha village of Warisaliganj, Roshan Kumar have been arrested. Police said that more than one crore rupees have been stolen by these criminals so far.
