Celebrating Yoga Day with enthusiasm
Dr PK Prajapati, Vice Chancellor of the University was also present at this grand event. Yoga Day was celebrated with enthusiasm by Konark Corps and the sessions included a combination of traditional asanas, breathing exercises and meditation which symbolized the unity of mind and body as well as thought and action. Expert yoga instructors also focus on therapeutic yoga to prevent and restore injuries, pranayama for stress relief and meditation techniques for mental peace and clarity.
Mass yoga sessions were organised
Yoga Day celebrations at Konark Corps began on 09 June 2024 which included various activities such as lectures, walkathon, drawing competition and tree plantation drive. However, the highlight of the celebrations were the yoga events organised at border villages of Longewala, Tanot, Shangarh, Ramsar and Khavda which witnessed participation of over 8000 people. In the Thar Desert, Desert and Gulf regions, all ranks conducted mass yoga sessions underlining the versatility and adaptability of yoga practice even in the most challenging locations and climatic conditions.
