The issue of paper leak in competitive examinations often comes to the fore. Recently the paper of UP Police Recruitment Examination was leaked. Apart from this, the matter of NEET and UGC NET paper leak is also in discussion. Meanwhile, the UP government is preparing to bring a new law to stop paper leak.
What will the new policy be like?
The Yogi government has also announced a new policy to prevent paper leaks, under which there should be 2 or more paper sets in every shift. The printing of question papers for each set will be done through different agencies. Paper coding will also be further streamlined. Only government secondary, degree colleges, universities, polytechnics, engineering colleges, medical colleges or renowned, well-funded educational institutions with a clean track record will be designated as examination centers. There will be CCTV arrangements at the centers.
Responsibility will be assigned to different agencies
All the four agencies will have different responsibilities for conducting the recruitment exam. Candidates will have to go out of their home district to take the exam. This rule will not apply to handicapped persons or women. If there are more than 4 lakh candidates, the exam will be conducted in two phases. Permission has been given to conduct the PCS exam in a single shift. To prevent tampering in preparing the result, the OMR sheets will be scanned in the commission and board itself.
The question paper will have a secret code
The question paper will also have a secret code. A secret code such as unique barcode, QR code, serial number will have to be entered on each page of the question paper. Information about the series can be obtained if needed. There will be tamper-proof multi-layer packaging of boxes for bringing and taking the question paper. Sufficient time will be given to set the question paper.

Ban on mobile cameras in printing presses
The selection of the printing press will be completely confidential. Press visitors will be checked. It will be mandatory for every person to have an ID card. Outsiders will not be allowed to enter the press. There will be a complete ban on carrying smartphones and cameras in the press. CCTV cameras will be installed around the press and its recording will be kept safe for 1 year.
