Women's swimmer Katie Ledecky dominated the 1500m freestyle at the US Olympic swimming trials to secure a berth for the Paris Games.
The United States 4x100m relay teams were announced in front of a record attendance of more than 22,000 fans at the Aquatic Center at Lucas Oil Field, Indianapolis. Ledecky continued her dominance in the swimming pool, winning the race with a time of 15 minutes 37.35 seconds. Ledecky has been named to three All-American teams. Earlier this week, she won the 200m and 400m freestyle races. Katie Grimes, the other two American entrants in the event, finished the race with a time of 15 minutes 59.77 seconds.
Kate Douglas won the women's 100m freestyle with a time of 52.66 seconds and also earned a spot in the four-place finish on the 100m relay team. Tokyo Games medalists Tori Huske and Gretchen Walls, who broke the world record in the 100m butterfly this week, are also included in the relay team. The men's relay team also featured Olympians Caeleb Dressel and Simon Manuel, who finished in the top-4.
