There will be heavy rain in these states including Delhi-UP-Bihar, IMD issued alert

New Delhi. Light drizzle in many parts of the country has brought relief to people from the scorching heat. However, the Meteorological Department said that this relief may continue further. According to the latest alert issued by the IMD, heavy rains are expected in parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh during the next three to four days.

There will be rain in these states in the next five days

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra in the next five days. At the same time, IMD has issued an orange alert for heavy rains in Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Bhandara, Nagpur and Ratnagiri districts of Maharashtra today.

People will get relief from heat

The department said in its update that heavy rains may occur in some parts of West Bengal, Assam-Meghalaya during the next 2 days. According to the IMD, there is no possibility of severe heat in many parts of the country during the next four to five days. However, the department has predicted severe heat in some places of the country including western Uttar Pradesh.

Rainy season will start in these states

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has given a new update on the southwest monsoon. According to the IMD, the monsoon has advanced in some parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar. The rainy season can now begin in all these places.

Meanwhile, EMD scientist Soma Sen said that the monsoon has advanced and it will advance into East Central India and East India- Chhattisgarh, parts of East Madhya Pradesh, parts of East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal during the next three to four days. He further said that heatwave conditions have ended in most parts of the country.

Possibility of thunderstorm in Delhi

Sen said that after the next three days, an increase in temperature can be recorded in some parts of the country. Regarding Delhi-NCR, he said that it is raining here before the monsoon. The IMD meteorologist said that there is also a possibility of thunderstorms in the capital and surrounding areas today.
