SC seeks response from Center and NTA

While hearing the NEET paper leak case, the Supreme Court on Thursday issued a notice on the petition filed by the National Testing Agency of the Center. In which a demand has been made to transfer the petitions related to NEET-UG, 2024 from the High Court to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has stayed the proceedings before the High Court in these cases. The Supreme Court again reiterated that the court will not stop the counseling process.

Further hearing on July 8

A two-member bench headed by Justice Vikram Nath also stayed the hearing of related cases pending in the High Court. The court also said that we will hear the case on July 8. Importantly, the Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice to the Center and NTA while hearing the petitions filed by some students who appeared for the NEET-UG exam at the Meghalaya center and allegedly scored less than 45 minutes.

NTA filed 4 petitions

Apart from 20 different groups of students, 4 petitions were filed by the NTA in the NEET paper leak case. The Supreme Court will hear all these petitions on July 8 next month. The vacation bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice SVN Bhati also sought responses from the concerned parties on separate petitions filed by the NTA, which sought transfer of some pending petitions from the High Court to the Supreme Court. A petition filed by 20 students who appeared in the medical entrance exam also sought directions to the NTA and others to conduct a fresh examination.
