In Kaithal, Haryana, a brother shot his elder sister dead for marrying someone from an inter-caste love marriage. The brother went to his sister's in-laws' house and opened fire. The girl's father and mother-in-law were also seriously injured in this firing. They have been referred to Chandigarh. On receiving information about the incident, the police and forensic team reached the spot and started investigation. The DSP also reached the spot.
According to the information, Anil Kumar of Nanakpuri Colony of Kaithal was married to Komal Rani of village Kyodak on 6 February this year. Due to which the married brother was angry. On Wednesday, the accused brother came to his sister's house. After talking to the sister for some time, he started firing.
His sister Komal, his maternal grandmother Anjali and mother-in-law Kanta were injured in the firing. After the incident, all three were taken to Kaithal General Hospital for treatment, where Komal was declared dead. While the condition of his maternal grandfather and mother-in-law was critical, they were referred to Chandigarh.
The boy's father said that the married man's brother and his family had come to their house several times before and threatened them. The son and daughter-in-law have also got protection from the High Court. Even after this, he entered the house and shot three women.
DSP Gurvinder Singh said that we had received information that shots were fired in Nanakpuri Colony. As soon as they got the information, they reached the spot. At present, statements of the boy's family are being taken. On the basis of which a case will be registered and action will be taken.
