A heartbreaking incident has happened in Assam. A senior IPS officer who loved his wife very much took such a step that everyone was shocked. The wife of Assam's Home Secretary died during cancer treatment in the ICU of a private hospital in Guwahati.
Minutes after his wife's death, 44-year-old IPS officer Shiladitya Chetia committed suicide by shooting himself while sitting next to his wife's body. Shiladitya Chetia's wife Agamoni Borbarua was admitted to Nemcare Hospital, where she died at 4.25 pm. After 10 minutes, Chetia asked for privacy from the hospital staff and said he wanted to sit next to his wife's body and pray for her and went into the ICU cabin. Shortly after the medical staff went out, a gunshot was heard from inside. Hitesh Barua, managing director of Nemcare Hospital, said, “We rushed to the ICU cabin and found him lying next to his wife's body.” We tried hard to save him but we could not.
