Budget 2024-25: The NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to present the full budget for the financial year 2024-25 next month. Preparations for which are going on in full swing. The date for presenting the budget has not been announced yet. But according to government sources, the Finance Minister can present the budget on July 18. Earlier it was expected that the full budget could come in mid-July.
The budget will be released on July 18
According to government sources, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman may present Budget 2024 on July 18. The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs announced that the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin on June 24 and end on July 3. The monsoon session of Parliament is scheduled to begin in the third week of July and is likely to last till August 9.
Pre-budget meeting will be held on June 20
Nirmala Sitharaman took charge as the Finance Minister and Minister of Corporate Affairs in the new NDA government formed on June 12. Now she is preparing to present the full budget. After first holding an official meeting with the Revenue Secretary, the Finance Minister will hold a pre-budget meeting with industry stakeholders today. The interim budget for the financial year 2024-25 was presented on February 1.
The middle class will be the center of attraction in the budget
This time BJP did not get absolute majority in the Lok Sabha elections. And NDA coalition government has been formed. Due to this, big announcements are expected for common citizens, taxpayers and salaried people in the first budget of the third term. This time the main focus of the government can be the middle class. Due to which announcements in tax relief are possible. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman can change the rules in the budget to be released in July. Till now the limit of tax deduction was 3 lakhs, that limit has been increased to Rs 3 lakhs. It can be increased to 5 lakhs.
Sitharaman will create history by presenting the budget
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present the first full budget of the Modi government 3.0 and will create a record of presenting seven consecutive budgets. She has so far released six budgets, including one interim budget. Earlier, Finance Minister Morarji Desai had presented five annual budgets and one interim budget during 1959-1964.
