Patna/Dehri on Son, 24 February (HIST). Rohtas Garh Pilgrimage Festival was organized on Saturday under the auspices of All India Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram and District Administration in the Rohtas Garh Fort complex located on Kaimur hill of Rohtas district in Bihar.
Chief guest SDM Surya Pratap Singh, former Chhattisgarh minister Ganesh Bhagat, Ramchandra Singh Kharwar, Govind Narayan Singh, Yogesh Bapat, Sandeep Kameshwar jointly inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. District President of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Govind Narayan Singh welcomed the guests.
Chief guest SDM Surya Pratap Singh welcomed the forest dwellers from different states on behalf of the district administration. He said that in the coming days, people will be free from difficulties in visiting the historical Rohtas Fort. The construction work of road and ropeway is going on. He informed the people about the welfare schemes of the government. Special emphasis was laid on educating daughters along with sons. Also appealed to vote in the Lok Sabha elections, the great festival of democracy.
Former Chhattisgarh Forest Minister Ganesh Ram Bhagat said that the innocent forest dwelling community is being tricked into conversion. All you forest dwellers should be aware of education while preserving your original culture Sanatan Dharma, only then development is possible. There will be development of values and self-employment.
State President Ramchandra Kharwar said that through the said program people have become aware of protecting the values and culture in the area. Besides, this area is also developing. Ropeway and road construction work has started to reach Rohtas Garh Fort. Now roads will also be built to reach the fort.
The program was presided over by Ashram District President Govind Narayan Singh. It was jointly operated by Mehring Oraon and Rajesh Oraon. The program was addressed by Somesh Oraon, Megha Oraon, Shani Topo and many others who came from other states. Guests from other states and local public representatives were honored by Mahendra Kumar, Sanjeev Gupta, Krishna Singh Yadav, Mahendra Pratap Singh, Bhupendra Narayan Singh, Ram Lal Oraon, Doma Singh Kharwar.
