Retired DSP committed suicide by shooting himself with a licensed pistol, reasons not known

Ludhiana : Retired DSP Baljinder Singh Bhullar committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed pistol on Tuesday. 59-year-old Baljinder Singh retired a year ago. His wife and children live abroad and he himself lived with his parents in the local Green Avenue area. He was alone in his room at around six o'clock on Tuesday evening, when the sound of a gunshot was heard. When the family went into the room, they saw that Baljinder's body was lying on the chair and his licensed pistol was lying nearby.

The family informed the police. At present, the reason for suicide is not clear. Police say that action will be taken on the basis of the statement of the family and the post-mortem report. Baljinder Singh has worked as SHO in Ludhiana. Apart from this, he has also worked as DSP in the Third IRB in Ludhiana.
