The most important vitamin for eye health care is vitamin A. It maintains the health of the cornea. This vitamin is a component of rhodopsin, a protein present in your eyes that allows you to see in low light conditions. Vitamin A deficiency causes night blindness or other vision-related complaints. For this, you can include carrots, spinach, kale, etc. in your diet.
Vitamin E
To maintain eye health, you should consume foods rich in vitamin E. It protects the eyes from damage caused by free radicals and oxidative stress. Degeneration of eyes occurs due to free radicals. For this, you can consume almonds, sunflower seeds, hazelnuts, spinach.
Vitamin B2
Vitamin B2, known as riboflavin, causes a reaction in the collagen fibers inside the cornea. This helps make your cornea tougher and stronger to slow or stop the progression of keratoconus. Dairy products, eggs, lean meat, green leafy vegetables are rich sources of vitamin B2.
