Modi government transferred 3.25 lakh crores to farmers' accounts in 10 years: Giriraj Singh

East Champaran, June 18 (HS). Modi government is a well-wisher of farmers, which has given Rs 3.25 lakh crore in the accounts of farmers in its last 10 years of tenure. The MSP of maize has been increased from Rs 8 to Rs 22. In the case of KCC for farmers, the amount has been increased from Rs 7 lakh crore to Rs 20 lakh crore. Modi government has fulfilled the dreams of Pandit Deendayal. The place where all of you are has become Krishi Dham today. Seeing all this, I regret that I too was a farmer of Motihari. The above words were said by Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh while addressing a program organized on the occasion of release of the 17th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi in Banaras by PM Modi at KVK campus located at Pipra Kothi.

He said that former PM Rajiv Gandhi used to say that if I send one rupee then only 15 paise reaches the bottom whereas during the tenure of Modi government 100% amount reaches the accounts of the beneficiaries directly. The program was presided over by former Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh while the chief guest was Government of India Textile Industry Minister Giriraj Singh. The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Union Minister Giriraj Singh, former Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr PS Pandey, MLA Pramod Kumar, Shyamababu Yadav and KVK Head Dr Arvind Kumar Singh by jointly lighting the lamp.

On this occasion, Giriraj Singh, a minister in the Government of India, took a dig at the Congress and said that in Karnataka, the Congress has cut the reservation of Hindu Dalits and given it to Muslims. In the last Lok Sabha elections, the Sanatanis were weakened by spreading rumors in the name of changing the Constitution across the country.

He said that to make the country developed, it is necessary to strengthen the farmers. Former Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh said that the development of villages, poor and farmers is Modi's first priority. The Modi government has worked to deliver the comforts and facilities which were confined to a handful of people to every household. Small landholding farmers were given six thousand rupees per year. Today, in the seventeenth installment, 91.46 crores will be deposited directly in the accounts of four lakh 44 thousand 495 farmers of this district. On this occasion, MLA Shyambabu Yadav, Pramod Kumar, KVK chief Dr. Arvind Kumar Singh, PDU Forestry and Horticulture College Dean Dr. Ramesh Kumar Jha along with a large number of BJP workers and farmers were present.
