Hisar, June 18 (HS). A moving car caught fire near village Bas Anaaj Mandi in Narnaund area of the district on Tuesday. Sudden fire in the car created panic. Passersby informed the Bas fire brigade about this, after which firefighters reached the spot and controlled the fire, but by then more than half of the car had burned. Thankfully, there was no loss of life. The car driver saved his life by jumping out of the car.
Ajit Fauji, a resident of Ugalan village and posted as a Havildar in the Army, told that he had left home on Tuesday to go to Hisar Cantt for duty. After reaching Bas, he stopped at the Hindustan Petroleum petrol pump located in front of the grain market to fill diesel in the car, then the petrol pump employees told him that the car's engine was on fire. Seeing the fire in the car, the petrol pump employees got nervous. They told the car driver Ajit Fauji that the front part of the car was on fire, quickly take the car out. After that, he immediately took the car out of the petrol pump and parked it on Bhiwani Chandigarh Road. After this, the car started burning fiercely. Ajit Fauji mustered courage and took out his Army ID card from the car, left the burning car there and immediately caught a bus and left for duty. He said that his duty is more important to him than the car.
People standing around the spot, seeing Ajit Fauji's dedication towards his duty and risking his life and taking the Army ID card from the car, saluted Ajit Fauji and encouraged him. After this, the Bass Police and the Fire Brigade were immediately informed about it. During this, the JCB machine passing by tried to control the fire by pouring soil but the fire in the engine inside the car could not be extinguished. After that, the fire brigade came in a vehicle and controlled the fire.
