Neemuch: Police got a big success in night combing, 44 quintals of dodachura worth 4.5 crores seized

Neemuch, June 17 (HS). As per the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, more than 15 thousand policemen went out on a night combing operation in the state on Saturday-Sunday night. During this night combing operation, Neemuch Police has achieved great success by seizing 44 quintals and 15 kilograms of illegal dodachura. Police has also arrested two smugglers from the spot. The value of the seized dodachura is said to be around Rs 4 crore 50 lakh, which was being transported through a truck. At present, a case has been registered against both the accused under various sections and further legal action is underway.

Revealing the case on Monday, Neemuch Superintendent of Police Ankit Jaiswal said that the police had received information from an informer that a large quantity of illegal drug dodachura was being transported through a truck at Nayagaon crossing. The police took immediate action and formed a team and blocked the Neemuch-Nimbaheda highway four-lane CCI crossing at Nayagaon. During this, a truck (PB-10-DZ-4860) going from Neemuch to Punjab was stopped and searched.

During investigation, 44 quintals and 15 kilograms of illegal drug dodachura was found in 211 sacks. Two accused were arrested from the spot, who have been identified as Simranjit Singh, age 23 years, resident of village Thathikhara, district Tarn Taran (Punjab), while the other has been identified as Gursevak Singh, age 29 years, resident of village Thathiya Mahanta, district Tarn Taran (Punjab). Both the accused were arrested and illegal drugs were seized from their possession and a case has been registered against them under section 8/15 NDPS Act.
