Ranchi, June 17 (HS). Finance Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon performed Puja-Archana at the Lord Jagannath temple located at Dhurva in the capital on Monday. During this, he also reviewed the preparations for the Rath Mela. Talking to reporters, the minister said that he has also prayed to Lord Jagannath for good rains so that the common people including farmers can get relief.
Oraon said that this time also the Rath Mela will be organized with old tradition and grandeur. For this, the state government will provide all necessary support. Rath Yatra has religious importance as well as social and cultural importance. In the Rath Yatra cum Mela organized on July 7, lakhs of devotees will come from every corner of the state and from other states. The minister also reviewed the preparations for the Rath Mela. He also met the local artisans engaged in the preparation of the Rath Yatra and assured them of all possible help. He also expressed satisfaction over the work of the chariot being built.
During this time, Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishor Nath Shahdev, Dr. Rajesh Gupta (Chhotu) also worshiped Lord Jagannath and took blessings.
