Gopeshwar, June 17 (HS). To conduct the Badrinath assembly by-election in a free, fair and transparent manner, the first randomization of polling personnel was done in the NIC room on Monday under the chairmanship of District Election Officer Himanshu Khurana. 1280 personnel have been selected for 210 polling stations of Badrinath assembly through software randomization process. This includes 288 presiding officers, 288 first polling officers, 377 second polling personnel and 327 third polling personnel.
Randomization of 125 percent of the total requirement of personnel was done for the by-election. After the first randomization, duty orders have been issued to the selected polling personnel. The polling personnel will be given the first training on June 22 at PG College Gopeshwar. All preparations have been completed to complete the training work in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission.
The District Election Officer has directed the department heads to ensure that the election duty orders are served to the employees of their respective departments engaged in the elections. During the randomization, nodal officer personnel Abhinav Shah, Deputy District Election Officer Vivek Prakash, Returning Officer RK Pandey, Assistant Nodal Personnel Kuldeep Gairola, District Information Science Officer Hemant Maurya, Assistant District Election Officer DC Sati etc. were present.
