Mumbai: Akshay Kumar's 'Welcome to the Jungle' will now release in 2025 instead of next Christmas. It is being said that this decision has been taken because a lot of work is still left on the film.
According to the original plan, Akshay Kumar's film 'Welcome to the Jungle' was to clash with Aamir Khan's 'Sitare Zameen Par' during Christmas. But, since Akshay's film has a huge star cast and the work including VFX is taking a lot of time, it will not be possible to release it during Christmas. Apart from Akshay, actors like Sunil Shetty, Arshar Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Tushap Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta and Jacqueline Fernandez are working in this film. Akshay's decision will benefit Aamir Khan's 'Sitare Zameen Par', which is having a solo release at the box office.
However, according to Bollywood trade critics, sports drama films have not been doing well for some time now. Since Aamir's 'Sitare Zameen Par' is also a sports drama, no assumptions can be made about its success.
