Under the “Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan”, on Sunday evening, under the leadership of Collector Ruchika Chauhan, women power lit lamps around the attractive rangoli decorated on the stage of Baijatal. The presentation of melodious songs centered on water conservation added color to the program. After lighting the lamps, Collector Ruchika Chauhan administered the oath of water conservation to the women power present in the program and the citizens of the city.
Collector Ruchika Chauhan said on this occasion that on the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state government is running “Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan” for water conservation and promotion. Everyone should take active part in this holy campaign. She said that water should be saved not just for one day but throughout the year. She also appealed that everyone should take initiative to save water at their homes. Use bucket-mug instead of shower for bathing. Teach children not to waste water unnecessarily while brushing their teeth. Similarly, do not leave electricity on unnecessarily. Do not use plastic bags. If you go to the market to buy goods, take your own bag.
