Jammu, June 16 (HS). Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Suchetgarh DDC Taranjit Singh Tony on Sunday stressed the urgent need to hold assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir soon as it is the only option to address the serious problems of the people.
Amid rising temperatures and increasing power cuts, Tony stressed the critical need for immediate intervention by the government to mitigate the woes of the people. Addressing a public meeting at Sherachak village in Suchetgarh, he said the failure of the current administration to manage essential services like electricity and water has put the general public as well as farmers in distress, adding that the malfunctioning of lift and tubewell irrigation systems has further aggravated the agrarian crisis.
