Drugs worth Rs 60 crore smuggled through drones seized in Rajasthan border area

Jaipur: Security forces seized 12 kg of heroin in Anupgarh district of Rajasthan. The heroin was smuggled from Pakistan to India via drones. According to the police, the estimated cost of these drugs is Rs 60 crore. It was a joint operation of BSF and Rajasthan Police.

According to a report, the BSF and Rajasthan Police recovered two consignments of 6 kg heroin from Anupgarh and Sameja Kothi police station areas. This consignment was smuggled from Pakistan to India via drones. According to the police, BSF jawans fired at the drone in a village near Kailash Chowki in Anupgarh area.

In a joint search operation by BSF jawans and police, two packets of 6 kg heroin were found from Anupgarh and Sameja Kothi. The cost of these two consignments is around Rs 60 crore. Locals in Sameja Kothi area heard the sound of a drone and informed the police. On seeing the police team, the smugglers opened fire and managed to escape.

According to information, drugs are often smuggled from Pakistan through drones. Anti-drone system will soon be installed to track drones. In another case, Rajasthan Police arrested three accused Jagga Singh, Gurvinder Singh and Sandeep Ghanta in Hanumangarh with 400 grams of heroin. The market value of the drugs was Rs. 2 crore.
