On February 23, Smita Bhardwaj sought help from Mumbai Family Court to sell Nitish's property. He has demanded money in exchange for divorce. Smita has also alleged that Nitish is not paying even a single rupee for the upkeep of the girls, while the court had ordered him to pay Rs 10,000 per month for the expenses of his daughters.
Smita has applied to the court to recover Rs 10,000 per month for her two daughters as promised by Nitish Bhardwaj. This application is called 'DarkHest'. Nitish's ex-wife has appealed to the court to sell her old belongings so that she can support her daughters with the money received from these belongings.

Smita's lawyer Chinmoy Vaidya has confirmed that 'Darkghast' has been filed in the city's Bandra Family Court. He said that since December, Nitish Bhardwaj has not paid the amount for the maintenance of his daughters as per the court order. Due to this, I had to take recovery action on behalf of my client. The matter is pending in the court. Nitish Bhardwaj said that I will have to talk to my lawyers whether any such application has been filed by her (Smita). If this happens, we will definitely respond to it.
