New Delhi, June 15 (HS). Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar will inaugurate the newly constructed Prerna Sthal (BG-7, in front of Samvidhan Sadan) tomorrow evening.
During this, the Lok Sabha Speaker, Rajya Sabha Deputy Speaker and Parliamentary Affairs Minister will also be present. Members of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha have also been invited to the program. During the inauguration program, after the unveiling of the stone plaque, dignitaries will offer floral tributes to the statues.
According to the Lok Sabha Secretariat, statues of great men and great freedom fighters of the country are installed inside the Parliament House complex. They have made a significant contribution to the history of our country, our culture, our freedom struggle. These statues were located at different places in the complex, due to which visitors had difficulty in seeing them. In view of this, Prerna Sthal has been constructed with the aim of installing these statues at one place inside the Parliament House complex so that the eminent persons and other visitors coming to the Parliament House complex can conveniently see these statues at a fixed place i.e. Prerna Sthal. They can pay their tribute to them.
A work plan has been made to make the life stories and messages of those great men available to the visitors through new technology near the statues so that everyone gets inspired by their philosophy of life. Earlier also, during the construction of the new Parliament building, the statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Motilal Nehru and Chaudhary Devi Lal were shifted elsewhere in the complex.
Lawns and flower gardens have been constructed around the statues at 'Prerna Sthal'. Here dignitaries and visitors will be able to easily pay their tributes to them and also take inspiration from their life stories available through QR codes.
