Farmer protest: Farmers have been agitating on the Delhi border for the last few days and are trying to march towards Delhi. However, there has been news of relief regarding this movement on the 12th day. The borders connected to Delhi have started opening. Barricades are being removed from Tikri and Kundli. In memory of martyr Shubhakaran Singh and three other martyred farmers, a candle march will be taken out by United Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha on the evening of 24th February. On February 25, farmers across the country will be made aware at Shambhu and Khanauri border.
Kundli and Tikri borders started opening
Following the call of farmers to march to Delhi, the police has started opening the service road of National Highway-44 from the Delhi border which was closed on February 13. Delhi Police Service is opening all four lanes of the road. Its opening will greatly help the traffic of Delhi. Along with the industrialists, shopkeepers, traders of Kundli area, the people of the surrounding areas were also demanding opening of the road for a long time. Opening of the service road will provide a lot of relief to the drivers.
Tikri border has started opening in Bahadurgarh. Barricades are being removed from the border. 5 out of 6 layers of barricading have been removed, although the concrete wall has still not been removed. Then barricading will not be removed from Sector 9 mode in Bahadurgarh.
Appeal to youth to remain calm
Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal released a video on Friday and appealed to the youth to remain calm. Dallewal said that some forces want to turn the peaceful farmer movement into a riot by provoking the youth, but the youth should not get agitated and should remain calm.
The government should not be under the illusion that the farmers' movement has stopped: Farmer leaders
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh alleged that Haryana Police is going to farmers' houses and threatening women. This shows that the central government can go to any extent to disrupt the farmers' movement, but the Center should not be under the illusion that it will stop the movement by exerting pressure. The movement has not stopped. There will be a meeting soon to decide the next strategy.
