Dharamshala, June 13 (HS). In view of the Dehra assembly by-election, a control room has been set up at the district level. Along with this, committees have also been formed at various levels for fair and peaceful elections. This information was given by District Election Officer, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa while presiding over a meeting with the nodal officers of the committees formed for the election in the auditorium of the Deputy Commissioner's office complex on Thursday.
He said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, strong security arrangements have also been made. He said that the Expenditure Monitoring Committee will completely monitor the election campaign expenditure of political parties and candidates, while the MCC Committee has been formed to ensure compliance with the Model Code of Conduct.
District Election Officer Hemraj Bairwa said that a district level Media Certification Monitoring Committee (MCMC) has been formed for certification of election advertisements by all political parties and candidates. He said that it will be mandatory for any political party to take permission from the district level Media Certification Monitoring Committee before giving any advertisement in newspapers, media and internet.
