Jaipur, June 13 (HS). The statue of Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla, who was the convener of the Gurjar Reservation Struggle Committee, was unveiled by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma in Gangapur on Thursday. Addressing the farmers' conference here, the Chief Minister said that Colonel Sahib's thinking was nationalistic. His statue installed here will also inspire the youth to join the army.
He said that Colonel sahab's dream was that every person should get good health and education. He always emphasized on girl education. Our government is also working in this direction. The CM also announced an education institute in the name of Colonel Kirori Bainsla. A special statue of Colonel Bainsla made of Vietnam stone has been installed in Mundia village of Gangapur City. This statue has been ready in about one and a half years. People from all communities from many districts including Karauli, Dholpur participated in the program. Colonel Bainsla died in March 2022. In the year 2004, he first demanded separate reservation for the Gurjar community. He became the face of the reservation movement by protesting by sitting on the tracks.
The CM said that we will fulfill each and every promise. You must have seen it earlier and even now you see that many parties try to mislead. We should not fall into their trap. Who ruled Rajasthan the most? Now what do they want to ask? No one likes to live in a 15×20 size flat. If facilities were available in villages, no one would go to the city. Now the BJP government has worked to connect every village with a road. So much money came to Rajasthan under JJM, but either it was not spent or it fell prey to corruption. The previous government could neither bring water nor even broke the roads that were built. The CM said that the farmers of the country are very important for us. Prime Minister Modi took the first decision of his third term to release the installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi. The state government approved ERCP to bring water from Chambal river. The work of implementing it has started. The state government has increased two thousand rupees in the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Nidhi.
The Chief Minister said that Colonel sahab's seniors used to call him the Rock of Gibraltar. Colonel sahab's colleagues used to call him Indian Rambo. He remained in the army for three decades. He was at the forefront in the wars of 1962 and 1971. After retiring from the army, he fought for the society. Colonel sahab's dream was that every person should get good health and education. He always emphasized on girl education. During the unveiling of the statue of Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla, the entire gathering place echoed with his cheers. Leaders of all communities were also present on this occasion. Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla's son, retired Colonel Daulat Singh said that his struggle will be remembered for centuries. There is no comparison to it. He gave such a gift to the society, due to which our participation has increased in every field. People of our society have reached all fields. I am proud of my father.
