Gangapur City/Jaipur, June 13 (HS). Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsala devoted his entire life to the service of the country and society. Youth should take inspiration from his life to serve the country and join the army by putting the nation first. Sharma said that the state government is committed to realizing the vision of a prosperous and happy farmer. During this, the Chief Minister announced to upgrade Mundia Primary Health Center to Community Health Center. Also, he said that in memory of late Colonel Bainsala, the state government will consider opening an educational institution in his name keeping in view the need of the local area.
Sharma was addressing the statue unveiling program of late Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsala and a huge farmers' conference at Mundia in Todabhim on Thursday. He said that Bainsala, born in an ordinary family, achieved a high position with his dedication and hard work. After leaving the job of a teacher, he served in the Indian Army for about three decades and also participated in the wars against China and Pakistan. The Chief Minister said that the 'Rock of Gibraltar' late Bainsala, after retirement from the army, made people aware against inequality, illiteracy and backwardness in the society. He made a significant contribution in promoting girl education, child marriage, wasteful expenditure in marriages and ending evils like dowry system.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to empowering the farmers. The Central and State Governments are providing economic support to the farmers through various welfare schemes and policy decisions. He said that as soon as our illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took office in his third term, he first released the 17th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi. The amount under this scheme has been increased from six thousand to eight thousand rupees in the first phase by the state government. Sharma said that the previous government deprived the people of the state of the resolution of 'tap water to every house' under the Jal Jeevan Mission. This scheme fell prey to corruption in the state. He said that the previous government had made only tempting promises, they had no concern for the poor. Even basic necessities like roads and water were not fulfilled in the villages. But now our government will fulfill every promise made to the people of the state.
The Chief Minister said that to solve the problem of drinking water and irrigation of farmers in eastern Rajasthan, our government has approved the long-pending ERCP project and started the work of implementing it. The state government is continuously working to empower the farmers economically. He said that the state government has taken important steps like providing a bonus of Rs 125 on the MSP of wheat to make it Rs 2,400, giving a subsidy of Rs 8 thousand crore in electricity bills to farmers, providing interest-free crop loan of Rs 10 thousand crore under the crop loan distribution scheme, providing loan to 41 thousand 137 new farmers.
Referring to the decisions taken in the interest of farmers, Sharma said that the state government has issued approval for more than 40 thousand agricultural connections and installation of solar pumps in the fields of more than 50 thousand farmers. Under the Gopal Credit Card Scheme, interest-free loan of up to one lakh rupees is being provided to five lakh cowherds. Also, quick medical services are being provided to animals through 248 mobile veterinary units. Earlier, the Chief Minister unveiled the statue of late Colonel Bainsla at 'Prerna Sthal' located in Mundia village and paid tribute by offering flowers. During the ceremony, Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham, Chairman of Devnarayan Board Omprakash Bhadana, MLA Darshan Singh Gurjar, former MP Ranjita Koli, Vijay Bainsla, various public representatives, senior officials and a large number of common people were present.
