Positive signals from global markets, mixed trading in Asia

New Delhi, June 13 (HS). Positive signals are coming from the global market today. After the decision of the monetary committee of the US Federal Reserve, the US market closed with mixed results. However, Dow Jones Futures is seen trading with a slight decline today. The European market remained steadily bullish during the last session. On the other hand, mixed trading is seen in the Asian markets today.

Wall Street indices closed with mixed results as the US Federal Reserve said it would cut interest rates later this year. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 index closed with record strength for the third consecutive day. The S&P 500 index closed at 5,421.03 points with a gain of 0.85 percent. Similarly, the Nasdaq jumped 264.89 points or 1.53 percent to end the previous session at 17,608.44 points. On the other hand, the Dow Jones closed with a decline of 400 points. The Dow Jones futures are also currently trading at 38,681.65 points with a weakness of 0.08 percent.

There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the European market also during the last session, due to which all the three major indexes here closed with strength. The FTSE index jumped 0.82 percent and closed at 8,215.48 points. Similarly, the CAC index jumped 0.96 percent and ended the last session at 7,864.70 points. Apart from this, the DAX index closed at 18,630.86 points with a gain of 260.92 points i.e. 1.40 percent.

Mixed trading is seen in the Asian markets today. Out of 9 Asian markets, 5 indices are trading in the green zone with a rise, whereas 4 indices are in the red zone with a decline. GIFT Nifty is trading at 23,428.50 points with a weakness of 0.07 percent. Similarly, the Nikkei index has fallen by 0.21 percent to reach the level of 38,796.01 points. Apart from this, the SET Composite Index is trading at 1,315.23 points with a decline of 0.11 percent and the Shanghai Composite Index is trading at 3,028.28 points, down by 0.30 percent.

On the other hand, the Straits Times Index is trading at 3,321.17 points with a gain of 0.42 percent. Similarly, the Hang Seng Index has reached 18,034.42 points with a gain of 0.54 percent. The KOSPI Index has made a big jump today. Currently, this index is trading at 2,764 points with a gain of 1.31 percent. Similarly, the Taiwan Weighted Index has reached 22,289.94 points with a gain of 240.98 points i.e. 1.09 percent. Apart from this, the Jakarta Composite Index is trading at 6,856.32 points with a gain of 0.09 percent.
