Srinagar 13 June (HS). Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday chaired the Governing Body meeting of the schemes at the Civil Secretariat.
This was the first meeting after the reconstitution of the governing body of SKIMS Soura Srinagar.
The meeting witnessed extensive deliberations on key aspects of patient care services and in-principle approval was given to various agenda items to improve the overall functioning of the prestigious healthcare institution.
The Lt Governor directed the concerned officials to make systematic interventions to ensure quality care, affordable and accessible healthcare services to the patients. He said that it must be ensured that all the necessary medical equipment is being procured and is functioning properly.
The Lt Governor further said that we must focus on a people-centric approach for accessible, equitable and efficient delivery of healthcare services. We are committed to affordable access to public healthcare and building a healthy society. The Governing Body members also shared their valuable suggestions and inputs on expanding healthcare facilities at SKIMS.
