Ghaziabad fire incident: A massive fire broke out last night in Behta Hajipur village located on the Loni border of Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh. A massive fire broke out in a 3-storey house, in which 5 members of a family died. The deceased include 2 women and 2 children. The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. The cause of the fire came to light in the police investigation.
According to the police, the fire started due to a short circuit but all the five people were able to get out of the house engulfed in flames. They were able to save their lives but died alive as they were unable to get out of the house. They were not able to find any way out. All the five people kept shouting but seeing the flames of the fire, no one had the courage to save them.
Why couldn't the five people leave the house?
According to police sources, the bodies were found in the rooms of the house, on the stairs of the main gate. Investigation revealed that the five deceased ran to the terrace to save their lives but the terrace door was closed. The main gate was also locked from outside. The keys were also kept on the ground floor, because the head of the house Ishtiaq had gone to the mosque to offer namaz. Both sons Shakib and Sariq had gone out for some work.
Ishtiaq's wife, son's wife, daughter-in-law and grandchildren were in the house. Foam work was going on on the ground floor. Due to which the fire increased. The entire house was filled with poisonous smoke due to the foam fire. All five of them started suffocating due to the smoke. They died in the fire. Due to the lock, no one could come out and no one could go inside.

According to reports, the deceased have been identified as Fehrin's wife Sariq, 28, Sariq's sister Nazra, 30, Sariq's son Shish, 7, Nazra's daughter Ifra, 8, Nazra's husband Saiful Rehman, 35. Sariq's sister Uzma, 22, have been admitted to a hospital. Neighbours informed the fire brigade about the fire.
The fire brigade vehicles controlled the fire after a lot of hard work. Ishtiaq's son Sajid was doing foam work at home, but due to a short circuit the foam caught fire and a huge fire broke out. The foam and fire took the lives of 5 people. The Additional Commissioner reached the spot and inspected it.
