Lok Sabha Elections 2024: BJP's defeat from Faizabad Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh is still in discussion. The reason is that Ayodhya also comes under this Lok Sabha seat where Ram temple has been built. BJP leaders were constantly mentioning Ram temple in their speeches and it was being discussed. In such a situation, the defeat in Ayodhya has shocked everyone including BJP. Now NCP leader Sharad Pawar has also commented on this and described the result as the wisdom of the voters of Ayodhya. He said that the people of Ayodhya have shown how 'temple politics' can be corrected by defeating the BJP candidate.
People of our country are very intelligent
Speaking at a rally in Baramati, Pawar said that the BJP had won more than 300 seats five years ago but this time its number of seats has come down to 240 which is much less than the majority. He said, I was thinking that Ram Mandir would be the election agenda and the ruling party would get votes but the people of our country are very intelligent. Pawar said that when people realised that votes were being sought in the name of the temple, they decided to take a different path and the BJP had to face defeat.
The people of Ayodhya taught a lesson to temple politicians
In a major upset in the Faizabad parliamentary constituency, Samajwadi Party candidate Awadhesh Prasad defeated BJP MP Lallu Singh by a margin of 54,567 votes. The former Union minister said, “We were afraid of using temples as an election agenda to seek votes, but the people of Ayodhya showed them how to fix 'temple politics'.” He also expressed hope that Narendra Modi's third term will be stable and his government will last for five years.
There are differences in politics
Pawar said, I have not given importance to the criticism made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the election campaign and my focus will be on promoting business and economy in the region with proper assistance. Pawar said that there are differences in politics but the economy should be strong. A strong economy promotes business and entrepreneurship and this is what we all expect today. I hope, the government will remain stable and they will take appropriate steps to strengthen the country's economy.
