Stock Market Closing: Indian stock markets closed higher today again with a universal recovery. The Sensex closed 20 points away from its record high yesterday, while the Nifty 50 closed marginally higher at 58.10 points after hitting a new record high today. Investors' capital increased by another 2.26 lakh crores today.
The country's retail inflation data for the month of May may be released this evening. On the other hand, the Fed Reserve will also release US inflation data and announce policy decisions. Due to which most investors showed a cautious stance today. The selling pressure of foreign institutional investors decreased yesterday. Yesterday, FIIs registered a decline of 111.04 crores. Which indicates an increase in investment in the near future. However, now all eyes will be on the quarterly results and budget to be released next month.
Top 250 stocks of the year
Today, 2553 stocks closed in the green zone on BSE, while 1337 stocks closed in the red zone. In which 250 stocks were at the highest level of 52 weeks and 384 stocks hit the upper circuit. Healthcare, telecom, auto, smallcap, midcap stocks were the top gainers in the index. The BSE market cap reached a new record high of Rs 429.31 lakh crore today.
Status of PSU stocks
After the formation of the new government at the center, PSU stocks have seen a rise. The volume of stocks like Powergrid, Coal India, NTPC has increased. Out of the total 56 stocks traded on the BSE PSU index, 49 stocks improved and 7 stocks closed with a decline of 0.03 to 0.82 percent.
