As per the instructions of the state government, cleanliness drive is being conducted in ponds, stepwells, wells and other water bodies in Chhatarpur district to conserve water sources under Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan. Along with this, painting competition is being organized on the subject of global warming and water conservation. Collector Sandeep G.R. has been directed for better implementation of the campaign as a priority.
In this regard, a cleanliness drive was carried out in Pratap Sagar pond of Chhatarpur city on Monday under the aegis of the municipality under Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan. In the same sequence, an essay and painting competition was organized on the subject of water conservation and conservation in MS Convent School in Badamalhara. In which students from various schools participated with great enthusiasm. These students gave the message of water conservation by writing essays on water conservation in both Hindi and English languages.
