CM Say | Live Updates, Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Raipur/New Delhi, June 9 (HS). It has been barely six months since the Bharatiya Janata Party government came to power in Chhattisgarh. In six months, we got little work to do, after which the Lok Sabha elections were announced. The code of conduct came into force. But before the code of conduct came into force, in just 100 days, our government has fulfilled all the major promises of Modi's guarantee on priority. We got better results of this in the Lok Sabha. People's trust has increased on our government along with Modi. In the coming time, we will gradually fulfill the remaining promises of guarantee.

Talking to journalists in New Delhi on Sunday, Chief Minister Sai said that we got the full blessings of the people of Chhattisgarh in the assembly elections. The voters of Chhattisgarh believed in Modi's guarantee, the Bharatiya Janata Party, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and we formed the government for the fourth time. BJP got more blessings than the previous three BJP governments. The party got 54 seats and more than 46 percent votes. Living up to the trust of the people, we fulfilled the main promise of Modi's guarantee in 100 days.

CM Sai said that 18 lakh people were deprived of Pradhan Mantri Awas in the last five years during the Congress government. During the election campaign, the Prime Minister also said that if the BJP government is formed in Chhattisgarh, then the Chief Minister will first approve the Pradhan Mantri Awas. I am proud to tell that we took oath on 13 December 2023 and on 14 December itself, 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas were approved. On 25 December 2023, on the occasion of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birth anniversary, Good Governance Day, we worked to give two years' pending bonus to more than 12 lakh farmers. Describing Chhattisgarh as a “rice bowl”, he talked about fulfilling the promise of buying 21 quintals of paddy per acre from the farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal as per the promise.

The Chief Minister said that under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, four installments of Rs. 1000 each will be issued to more than 70 lakh women of the state. He said that his government has also started the CBI inquiry of the PSC scam and the Ramlala Darshan Yojana. He also talked about starting the purchase of tendu leaves at the rate of Rs. 5500 per standard sack and fixing a time period of 15 days for the purchase. He also said that a scheme for giving scholarships to the children of collector families will be started soon.

On Naxalism, Sai said that our BJP government fought strongly against Naxalism for the last 15 years and when the BJP government was formed again, our fight against Naxalism has gained momentum with the coordination between the Centre and the State. Naxalism is present only in some places in five districts. So far more than 25 security camps have been set up in these areas and this means that the benefits of all the government schemes are being provided to the people within a radius of five kilometres of the camp. Naxalites are continuously shrinking.

Sai said that Chhattisgarh has immense possibilities of tourism. Our Bastar is a paradise, where there are Chitrakote waterfalls, Kutumsar caves and Tirathgarh waterfalls. Our effort is to develop the tourism sector as much as possible, so that the source of income increases. There is no dearth of mineral deposits in Chhattisgarh, there is plenty of iron ore, there is the entire Bailadila mountain. There is gold, diamond, lithium has also been found. There is plenty of mineral wealth, there are more than 100 forest products, there are hardworking farmers. Therefore, all the people of Chhattisgarh will work together for the creation of a “developed Chhattisgarh”.
