Sonipat, June 9 (HS). In the first phase, the Nagar Palika has issued notices to shopkeepers on Sunday regarding the property dispute in Kharkhoda. In these notices, the property of the shops is shown in Kila numbers. The shopkeepers now have to respond to this. On the other hand, about one thousand families will be given notices regarding the property of their houses.
Because their houses are also shown in the fort numbers. According to the records of the Nagar Palika, if the houses and shops are removed from these lands, half of Kharkhoda will reach the condition of about 50 years ago. The residents of Kharkhoda are angry with this action and will meet Chief Minister Nayab Saini to protest against it.
Areas receiving notices
According to the Nagar Palika, notices will be given from the narrow lane in front of Pratap School to Matindo Road, Pratap School to Matindo Chowk, Purva Vatika, Saulgiri Colony, Machhi Bazaar, Dhankan Basti, Matindo Road Bypass in front of Savitri Bai Phule Park, Indira Gandhi Awas Yojna plots, Saini Mohalla Basti, area behind Saini Chaupal, area behind Harijan Chaupal, near Ekta Chowk, Idgah Colony and all the areas around the pond. This area is about 1.5 to 2 km long, where about 1.5 to 2 thousand families are settled.
Action also taken on Rohtak road
The Nagar Palika has also planned to distribute notices in the colony around the girls college and the areas around the crematorium. Currently, notices have been given in Thana Kalan Chowk to Delhi Chowk, Sikligar Basti, Delhi Chowk to Sampla Chowk, Baroana Road and various other places. Whether these constructions are 20, 50 or 100 years old or recent encroachments.
Illegal occupation of government lands
According to the Nagar Palika, many encroachers have encroached upon government land, which is worth crores of rupees. These encroachers are selling these lands. These notices are being issued on the instructions of the Directorate for the protection of government land under the Nagar Palika Act. Nagar Palika Secretary Sandeep Kumar says that such action will continue continuously.
