It is alleged that to take revenge for the poor results of Trinamool in the Lok Sabha elections, Trinamool killed a Congress worker with a sharp weapon. The allegation is on Trinamool-sponsored criminals. The deceased was Akmal Sheikh (22), a Congress worker from Jesaratala area of Gopalpur, Manikchak block of Malda. However, Trinamool claimed that the incident was merely a family dispute.
It is alleged that Congress worker Akmal Sheikh and his companions were returning to their home Jesarat Tola, Gopalpur from Dharampur stand on a bike after filling the form for the Central Army Service Examination at around 7.30 pm on Saturday evening. Some miscreants hiding in an empty mango orchard in the middle of the road caught them and took them away from the road. It is alleged that the bike rider was beaten up and chased away from there. But Congress worker Akmal Sheikh was taken to a mango orchard and first hit on his legs with a shovel and then stabbed with a sickle. On hearing about the incident, the people nearby rushed and chased the criminals. After this, the miscreants fled from the area. The local people immediately took Akmal to Manikchak Rural Hospital. Due to his critical condition, he was referred to Malda Medical College and Hospital. He died within a few hours in Malda Medical College and Hospital.
On Sunday, Akmal Sheikh's father said that the boy was returning home after filling the form for the army service examination. He was murdered with a sharp weapon by Trinamool-backed miscreants. All this was done under the leadership of Gopalpur area Trinamool Congress president Mohammad Nasir. Trinamool is taking revenge by killing us due to the poor results in the Lok Sabha elections.
